Inter Milan defender Fabio Cannavaro has declared he wants to join Real
Madrid.
Real president Florentino Perez is hoping to land Cannavaro this week and
the Italy captain told AS: "I would give everything to go to Real Madrid. It
is the most prestigious club in the world and any player would like to have
the opportunity to be next to so many stars.
"For me it would be a dream to be able to play the next season there."
Cannavaro is available for a knockdown ￡2 million from Inter, which are
waiting for Perez to open negotiations.
He added, "I am happy at Inter, but I must be clear that I only would
leave Milan to sign for Real Madrid. Madrid is a club that is impossible to
reject. It is a legendary team."
