"We're very bitter and disappointed about what happened last night. A Champions League quarter final deserved a decidedly better epilogue," he said. "This grave and disgraceful episode is damaging, both on a sporting level and for the image of Inter, which in all these years has worked to affirm the importance of sporting values to reach objectives on the pitch." 主席認為 (球迷鬧事)這糟糕與粗鄙的行為對場內運動水平與對國米的形象都造成傷害國米這些年來都努力推動場上運動精神這個目標 Facchetti also spoke about his phone call to Neslon Dida, saying that the goalkeeper assured the Inter president of his health and that he hoped "he will be on the pitch on Sunday". 主席也表示他打電話給受傷的Dida Dida則向主席保證他的健康沒問題希望星期天可以上場比賽 "I think we should say that the police force told us there weren't any episodes of panic among the fans, neither were there clashes inside or outside the stadium, before, during or after the match," added the Inter president. 至於警方調查方面主席說警方告訴球隊球迷之間倒是沒有衝突在比賽進行中以及賽後球迷之間在場內場外都沒有人打架 Asked if the club feels yesterday's protest was organised, Giacinto Facchetti replied by placing complete trust in the authorities investigating the incidents, and added that they are the only competent body to give a reply.
