Japan's Takahara Joins Frankfurt
Japan and Hamburg SV striker Naohiro Takahara is set to join
Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 26 year-old will start his three-year contract with the
Bundesliga club on July 1 after failing to complete a full
game in the 2005/06 season for the 1983 European Champions.
The former Boca Juniors star is expected to be named in Japan’s
23-man squad for the 2006 World Cup and he will be hoping to
add to his 15 goals in 40 appearances in games when the Asian
Champions face Australia, Croatia and Brazil.
