Date of birth: 8 August 1975 Position: Defender Current Club: Jubilo Iwata (JPN) Tanaka regularly plays at right back for Japan and he has represented his country at the 1996 Olympic Games, the 2004 Asian Nations Cup, and the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup. Also featured prominently in Japan’s 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. Has played club football at Jubilo Iwata for his entire professional career, winning the Japanese league title in 1997, 1999 and 2002.
