Date of birth: 13 January 1980 Position: Defender Current Club: Gamba Osaka (JPN) Winger who is equally adept in midfield or defence. Has played for the Japanese national team since 2003 and was present in 11 of Japan’s 12 qualifiers for Germany 2006. Kaji took part in Japan’s silver medal campaign at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship, the 2004 Asian Nations Cup and the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup.
