Mark Iuliano is back in Serie A after the experienced defender
joined Sampdoria on Monday afternoon.
The 32-year-old has signed a six-month agreement with Doria
after terminating his Mallorca contract by mutual consent.
Iuliano, who scored three goals in just 13 games in Spain last season,
will arrive in Italy on Tuesday and be at Coach Walter Novellino's
disposal on Thursday morning.
The Cosenza-born stopper made his name in Italy after joining
Juventus in 1996, winning numerous honours during his eight years
at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
Iuliano is also a former Italian international after playing in 19 games,
with one goal, for the Azzurri.
His arrival at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris is likely to see Simone Pavan
leave Genoa for Serie B side Bologna.
