Emerson rejects Plan B

Emerson has told Juventus that he has no intention of
playing his football in Serie B next season.
Emerson對 JUVE表明自己無意在義乙踢球。
The Italian champions could find themselves demoted to
the Second Division in the summer if they are found guilty
of alleged sporting fraud.
JUVE如果以體育詐欺被定罪，今夏可能將降入乙級。
While Alex Del Piero, Fabio Cannavaro, Cristiano Zanetti
and Marco Marchionni have indicated that they are ready to stay,
the Brazilian isn't so sure.
Del Piero、Cannavaro、Zanetti、Marchionni已表明留隊意願，
Emerson則沒那麼篤定。
“To talk now would be a little premature,”
he said from Brazil's World Cup training base in Switzerland.
“No player would like to play in Serie B and I'm no exception,”
he underlined.
Emerson於巴西國家隊在瑞士的集訓地說：「現在談這個太草率了點，
不過沒有球員會想在義乙踢球，我也不例外。」
“I still have two years left on my contract and
I'll just have to wait and see what happens over
the next few weeks before making any further comment.”
「我的合約還有兩年才到期，我會等到過幾週事情有新進展再作評論。」
There will certainly be no shortage of suitors for
the former Bayer Leverkusen ace who is undoubtedly one of
the world's top players.
無疑是世界頂尖球員之一的 Emerson肯定不缺追求者。
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted earlier this week
that he would welcome his proposed summer arrival with open arms.
Milan主教練 Ancelotti本週稍早就說過很歡迎 Emerson加盟。
Inter, Real Madrid and Barcelona are other clubs who have been
paired with the international should he quit the Old Lady.
Inter、Real Madrid、Barcelona也都在關注他的動向。
Juventus, who netted him for around ￡8m from Roma two years ago,
would now want around ￡15m for him.
兩年前 JUVE以８ｍ英鎊從 Roma買來 Emerson，現在可能為他標價１５ｍ英鎊。
（我記得沒這麼便宜，然後還賠上不知道一個還是半個 Brighi，
而且標１５ｍ誰會想買啊？！雖然我們自己花了１５ｍ買 Vieira…）

Thuram can't imagine relegation

France defender Lilian Thuram is concerned by the situation at Juventus.

The veteran has admitted he is surprised by the scandals
dogging the Turin club as he tries to focus on the World Cup
at the training camp in Tignes.
"At first, I felt surprise," he confessed.
"I admit, in the beginning, I didn't pay attention to that story.
Thuram說：「最初我覺得很驚訝，我承認一開始我並沒有特別留意這事的發展。」
"I believed it was a kind of Italian joke.
「我相信它不過是某種義大利式的玩笑。」
"Then, little by little, we discovered things were not very clear.
「然後，我們逐漸發現事情沒那麼單純。」
（其後 Thuram都用『我們』當主詞，所以應該包括 Vieira、Trezeguet，
Zebina沒進法國隊，所以不知道有沒有算上他。）
"People talk about a possible relegation of Juventus to Serie B or Serie C.
「人們開始談論 JUVE降到義乙或是義丙去的可能。」
"If I had been younger, that could have worried me a lot.
「如果我年輕個幾歲，這可能會讓我非常擔心。」
"We will wait and see, we can't do anything else anyway.
「我們會靜觀其變，反正對此事我們也沒什麼能做。」
"I am a little shocked by that case. All the same, it seems incredible.
「這事件讓我有點嚇到了，因為這有點令人難以置信。」
"Maybe I can't really imagine this, notably the fact
that Juventus could play in Serie B."
「我可能還沒辦法想像，特別是 JUVE可能會降到義乙這件事。」
