The new Chief Executive Officer, who confirmed that he would form part of the new board of directors that is set to be unveiled on Wednesday, was keen to promote his vision for the future of Juventus: “The difficult period that we currently find ourselves in has allowed us to take a step back and look at who we really are, our 109 year history and the legacy of values and responsibilities that we have slowly developed - all of which have made Juventus the leader that it is both in Italy and the rest of the world - and to project our future". "Our history is carved out of successes in both team play and sporting spectacle but also out of good conduct, elegance, youth and victory, obtained through hard-work and sacrifice. These values are at the core of our most important tradition, as a universally recognised brand present in both the hearts and minds of 14 millions of supporters in our country and many others throughout the world". "I was selected by the owner to create a base from which this legacy could continue to be preserved. I took up the offer because the values that made ‘la Vecchia Signora’ great should stem from the root of the club's structure and organisation. I strongly believe in this project which aims to put football at its centre, to impose our historic principles upon everything we do and to create a winning formula of ethics, sporting success and economic results. However, the organisational elements are only one part of the renaissance that the club is currently undergoing: the right people also need to be found who can use them with fairness, intelligence and firmness".
