With five days to go before the Serie B curtain raiser away at Rimini, Deschamps took the opportunity to try out fresh blood, selecting new arrival Alexandre at left back and bringing on some other young faces as the game progressed. The game also saw a return to action for Raffaele Palladino, back with the first team following a month long injury lay-off. 距離聯賽開踢只剩五天，Deschamps把握機會試煉新血，左後衛位置啟用新援 Alexandre，也在比賽進程中換上不少年輕小將， Palladino休養了一個月之後也在這場比賽傷癒復出。 Juve started brightly and in the 15th minute, Del Piero played a neat one-two with Zalayeta, receiving the Uruguayan's cut-back in the box and letting go with his right foot. The shot was blocked but the captain had signalled his intent. In the 27th minute, he set up Palladino who tried to surprise the keeper, and two minutes later, he slipped through Guzman before having a go himself. Doni was alert to the danger on both accounts. In the 35th minute the Juve hitman launched a long range free-kick goal bound, but the ball skipped wide at the last moment. The first half also saw efforts from Zalayeta, Guzman and Birindelli, while the Giallorossi replied with Montella, Faty, Ferrari and Giacomini, but at the half time break, the teams entered the tunnel all square. Zalayeta went close with a header from a Del Piero corner a minute after the restart, and five minutes later, Tonetto dribbled through the Bianconeri defence only to see his effort blocked. Guzman attempted to lob Doni in the 58th minute but his effort dipped just over the bar. In the 49th minute, the chance arrived, Guzman crossing the ball in to the box towards the head of Del Piero. We played a good game and created several chances.
