The Juventus shot-stopper did makes some fine saves again, after his heroics against the Czech Republic, and was key to the Azzurri's dramatic 1-0 victory. “I didn't think for a second that I would concede,” noted the No 1 who has undoubtedly been one of the most impressive of the tournament. The Inter man was, perhaps harshly, sent-off which did jeopardise the Azzurri's progress at Germany 2006.
