http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jul20f.html Barca close to Juve pair Thursday 20 July, 2006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona are hopeful of securing a deal for Juve stars Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram by the beginning of next week. “Discussions are well advanced but it's best to wait until everything is signed,” said the Catalan club's sports director Txiki Begiristain. “We are very confident that we can complete the deal before Monday.” Barcelona體育董事 Txiki Begiristain說：「討論進展良好，但是最好還是等到簽完約再談，我們有信心能在週一之前完成交易。」 It is suggested that Barca will table an offer of around ￡13m for Zambrotta, while 34-year-old Thuram will join for a far smaller fee on a one-year contract. 據猜測，Barca將提供１３ｍ英鎊購買 Zambrotta， Thuram的轉會費將少得多，而且只會簽一年約。 The Guadeloupe-born French international signed for Juve in 2001 from Parma and has made 192 appearances for the Turin side. Thuram won four Scudetti with Juventus, but a highly successful spell at the club looks set to come to an end as he has refused to play Serie B football. Thuram拒打義乙。 Azzurri star Zambrotta had been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid after stating that he was leaving, but now looks set to follow Thuram to Barcelona. 向 Zambrotta求歡的還有 Chelsea、Real Madrid。 The 29-year-old joined Juve for around ￡11m seven years ago and has been almost ever-present in the line-up since.
