Cobolli: “We want you with us!”
President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli wasn't going to miss
Juventus' first outing of the season, a friendly in Alessandria
against a local eleven, taking his place in the stands alongside
Sporting Director, Alessio Secco.
The President covered a number of topics but above all he sent a message
to the fans: “These are difficult times, we need your enthusiasm and
your passion more than ever. We believe in what we're doing,
the choices we make are dictated by the situation we are in
but always remember that what we want and what we are striving
for is a winning Juventus. The players who left wanted to leave,
but for every one of them there's a player who has stayed,
like Del Piero, Nedved and Buffon, who recently chose to make
his decision public, and players who have arrived, like Bojinov, who,
so they tell me, is doing magnificently; he has great potential and
is already a champion. If other players leave, others will arrive.
It's true that if we are forced to play this season in Serie B,
we may have certain problems balancing the books and we will have to
pay attention to the financial side of things which, for example,
have been eased by the departure of those players who chose to leave”.
Giovanni Cobolli Gigli對球迷說：
「現在是艱難時刻，我們比起以往更需要你們的熱情，
我們相信自己的正在進行的努力，我們受迫於局勢做出某些選擇，
但是請永遠記住，我們想要為之奮鬥的，是重建一隻勝利的 JUVENTUS！
離開的球員是因為他們想走，不過還是有人會留下來，
像 Del Piero、Nedved、Buffon，近來都公開了自己的決定，也有球員會加盟，
像 Bojinov，他們告訴我他踢得很不錯，很有潛力，已經是個冠軍球員，
如果有其他球員離開，就會有人來；
假設我們本季被迫要踢義乙，的確就有可能在財務平衡上遭遇問題，
我們必須更注意收支，舉例來說，經由那些選擇離隊的球員，情況已經緩解了。」
The President then spoke of the imminent sentence (expected on Monday
or Tuesday): “I still believe we deserve Serie A with a points penalty,
but it's difficult to be realistic given that the prosecutor demanded C1,
or worse, and at the moment we are in B with a 30 point penalty:
I'm hoping the sentence will be substantially reduced.
If we ended up in B without a penalty, the situation with the players
would also change, a year in B would be more acceptable for some,
more difficult perhaps for some champions who are nearing the end of
their careers, who only have a couple more years left to play,
and who are obviously considering other options.
However, even if it did remain as B with a 30 point penalty,
we would fight to get back to the top straight away, and if we succeeded,
it would be like winning three Champions Leagues”.
接著他談到即將發生的上訴判決（預計週一或週二會公佈）：
我仍然相信我們應該留在義甲然後被罰分，
不過現實來講也不可能糟過檢察官要求的降到義丙，
而現在我們是在乙級被扣三十分：我希望判決能大大減輕，
如果我們變成留在義乙不罰分，球員的狀況也會改變，
一年重回義甲的話對許多人來說變得比較能夠接受，
只有那些接近職業生涯末端、或是明顯在考慮其他選擇的球員比較難抉擇，
不過，儘管罰分還是維持三十分，我們一樣會選擇奮戰爭取直接升甲，
如果成功了，那就會像是贏下三次歐洲冠軍盃一樣啊！」
Closing the discussion on the sentence, journalists asked whether
the club are considering an eventual appeal to the TAR:
“We don't think so but we're weighing up our options.
We can't discount the possibility”.
記者問到球會是否考慮最終上訴，主席說：
「我們不這麼打算，不過正在權衡各種選擇，我們不能漠視其可能性。」
Questioned on the role of Marco Tardelli, Cobolli gave this reply:
“He was chosen as administrative councillor and
he's very important to us. He's part of the sporting committee,
chaired by myself, and we have great faith in him, as we do in Montali”.
關於 Marco Tardelli的角色，Cobolli回應：
「他被選為行政顧問，對我們來說很重要，是由我主持的體育委員會成員之一，
我們對他很有信心，就像我們對 Montali一樣。」
The journalists also asked about the role of Roberto Bettega:
“He was a brilliant player, a symbol of the club,
Blanc intends to involve him as a consultant owing to
his international experience and he's been very helpful over
the last few days. He will play a role as a consultant,
while not being directly involved with the club,
as he knows the club well and is also highly respected internationally”.
記者也問到 Roberto Bettega的角色，Cobolli說：
「他曾是傑出的球員、球會的象徵，Blanc打算借重他的國際經驗，
最近幾天他也幫了不少忙，基於他很熟悉球會又在國際間受到高度敬重，
