Margiotta: adversary and fan
He's the jewel in Frosinone's crown. Strong, skilful and experienced,
Massimo Margiotta is the most dangerous of the small club's players,
and on Saturday he'll have a point to prove like no other.
For the Venezuelan-born centre forward the clash with Juventus
has an added layer of significance; it was against the Bianconeri
that he made his debut in Serie A as an Udinese player,
and he is also a self-confessed life-long Juve fan:

這位生於委內瑞拉的義大利人為週六對 JUVE之戰加上一層意涵，
他在 Udinese完成義甲初登場的比賽就是對陣 JUVE，也自認是終生的 JUVE球迷。
“I will never forget my Serie A debut – the striker explains –
it's already an important moment in any player's career…
but I made my debut in Turin, against Juventus, the team I had
always supported… it was incredible. And then I remember another game
against Juve. I was at Perugia at the time and we lost 1-0 to
a 50 yard wonder-strike from Nedved”.
Margiotta說：「我永遠不會忘了我的義甲初登場，
對任何一位球員來說那都是職業生涯的重要時刻…
但是我在都靈完成初登場，對陣 JUVE，我一直支持的球隊，這太難以置信了，
然後我還記得另一場對 JUVE的比賽，當時我為 Perugia效力，
我們以０－１輸球，Nedved進了一個奇跡般的五十碼遠射。」
When did your passion for Juve first come about?
“During the era of Lippi, Vialli and Ravanelli. But my idol has
always been Alex Del Piero. Seeing him in Serie B is a real waste…”
談及初次感受到自己對 JUVE的熱情：「在 Lippi、Vialli、Ravanelli的年代，
不過我的偶像一直是 Del Piero，看到他得在義乙踢比賽真是浪費。」
（我看了蠻感動，不過這人才小隊長三歲還同是球員，算同輩吧～ XD）
Did you expect Juventus to get off to such a flying start,
or did you think they'd have more trouble adapting to Serie B?
“From their results so far I'd say they've had no trouble at all adapting.
The draw with Rimini showed them right from the off what will happen
if they don't play with the necessary fight in every game.
That's what Serie B is all about, there will always be upsets and surprises.
Juve aside, all the teams are more or less on an even keel,
even when there's a clear favourite. Just look at what happened
to Atalanta last year, they would never have imagined losing to
Crotone or Albinoleffe. Even if the stronger sides tend to eventually
come out on top, anyone can beat anyone in Serie B”.
被問到 JUVE在飛躍般開局後會一路攀升還是會遇到更多適應義乙的問題，他說：
「從他們至今的戰果，我會說他們毫無適應問題，
對 Rimini的平局為他們呈現出如果不在每場比賽做出必要奮鬥的下場，
義乙聯賽就是這麼一回事，總是會有意外的擊倒與驚奇，
除去 JUVE，所有的球隊強弱相近，儘管仍有備受期待的球隊，
看去年 Atalanta發生的事好了，他們八成沒想像過會輸給 Crotone或 Albinoleffe，
即使強隊仍有在最終爬上頂端的傾向，在義乙任何人都能擊敗對方。」
Let's talk about Frosinone: you took just two points in the first
four games, but you've since managed to pick up some good results and
like Juventus, you have a game in hand. Have your ambitions changed over
the last few games?“No, our objective is still to achieve safety
as soon as possible. Those two wins have helped us get going
but there's a long way to go yet before we're out of danger,
as our defeat at home to Piacenza showed. If those results had
arrived 15 games from the end, we might have had a rethink,
but it's too soon to be changing our objectives after just six games”.
談到 Frosinone在前四戰只積得兩分，不過近來狀況好轉，
這幾戰是否改變他的野心，Margiotta說：「並沒有，我們的目標仍是盡可能保級，
近兩場勝利幫助我們繼續前進，不過在我們脫離險境前還有很長的路要走，
如果這樣的戰果在賽季結束前十五戰到來，我們可能才會重新考慮，
但是在六場比賽之後就改變我們的目標還太早。」
Who would you put money on to win promotion?
“It's hard to say. Look at Mantova last year, no one expected them
to make the play-offs and yet… If one thing's for certain
it's that Juventus will finish top, even with a penalty,
then there are the other favourites like Genoa, Napoli, Bologna, Brescia…
but in the end, there is always a surprise package”.
會押注誰贏得升級，Margiotta說：「這很難說，
看看去年的 Mantova，沒人會想到他們得打附加賽然後…
如果有確定的事，那就是 JUVE會以頭名作收，就算帶著罰分，
其他的熱門大概是 Genoa、Napoli、Bologna、Brescia…
不過到最後這總是會充滿驚奇。」
（Mantova去季一直在領先集團的纏鬥中佔據直接升甲的席次，
結果後勁不足搞到去打附加賽，然後被淘汰…）

在官網看到這篇的標題我就在想『這傢伙誰啊？JUVE有這人嗎？』，
看了內文才知道他是周六要交手球隊的前鋒，
Frosinone目前七場比賽他都先發，五次打滿全場，進一球。
