Pegolo rushed out to close down both Valeri Bojinov and Raffaele Palladino, though he was saved by the woodwork when the Under-21 international cracked a shot against the bar from 25 metres. Marcelo Zalayeta also went close, but Verona’s Iunco had a goal disallowed for offside.
