Zanetti: “Juve's biggest threat is Juve”
Cristiano Zanetti opened this afternoon's press conference with
a simple answer to a simple question: are Juventus ready to dominate the
home straight? “I hope so. It's certainly seems like the right time to
do so. We're playing once a week now and that gives us more time to recover.
The preparations for Saturday are going well and with players returning
from injury, we're almost back to having the full complement. It's time to
take as many points as possible”.
Zanetti被問及 JUVE是否準備好要一路領先到底的時候回答：「我希望如此，

The midfielder was impressive against Bari after a lengthy absence.
“I'm recovering well from the injury and I can only get better,
both in training and the matches themselves”.

How does the Zanetti of today compare to the Zanetti who won the scudetto
with Roma back in 2001? “It's a different kind of game now, but certainly
I'm more experienced and I read the game better. I'd say I've improved
a lot since then”.

「現在的比賽型態不同了，不過肯定的是我更有經驗、更懂得閱讀比賽了，
我會說自己從那時候起進步了許多。」
As a key player this season, the journalists wondered how he will react
if the club bolsters the midfield with big names over the summer.
“It won't be a problem for me. I'm used to playing in great sides
with world-class players. It can only be a good thing”.
身為本季主力，記者問到如果球會在夏天補進大牌中場的話他會如何反應：
「對我來說這不成問題，我習慣在偉大球隊跟世界級球員踢球了，這只會是好事。」
A win on Saturday would see the Bianconeri crowned as ‘winter champions’.
“It will be an important step for us as we've had a points deficit
to make up. There are still a lot of games to be won though”.
週六勝出將使 JUVE加冕『冬季冠軍』，Zanetti對此說：
「基於有罰分要填補，這對我們來說是重要的一步，不過仍有許多比賽要贏下來。」
And how does Serie B compare with his pre-season expectations?
“To be honest I didn't expect the level to be this high, both technically
and physically; the teams in this league just never give up. We had a few
problems getting used to things at the start but we've adapted well and
we now know we have to fight right up until the final whistle. We know
exactly what our objectives are and we will only get better with time”.
義乙跟他賽前的預期有何不同？「老實說，我沒料到水平會這麼高，
在技術面與體能面都是，這聯賽的球隊永不放棄，我們一開始有點適應上的問題，
不過調整得不錯，我們現在知道自己必須奮戰到終場哨聲響起了，
我們確切知道自己的目標是什麼，也只會隨著時間變得更好。」
There has been much talk in the media concerning the futures of some
of the team's more high profile players. “Those are just rumours.
Everyone's training hard and giving their all on Saturday. If players leave,
others will arrive but I haven't seen anyone lacking in motivation,
we're all desperate to get back into Serie A. When the championship is over,
of course everyone will have their own choices to make but the atmosphere
in the dressing room suggest everyone wants to stay”.
許多隊上的大牌球員是否受到媒體傳聞的干擾？「那只是謠言，
大家都很努力訓練也在週六盡了全力，如果球員離開，其他人就會到來，
不過我可沒看到有誰缺乏動力，我們都極度渴望重回義甲；等到聯賽結束，
當然每個人都會做出自己的選擇，但是更衣室的氣氛讓人覺得大家都想留下。」
One of those players is Gigi Buffon. “Everyone's important but there aren't
many like Gigi around, he's fundamental to this team, as are Del Piero,
Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Nedved, Marchionni… These are players that can
make the difference in Serie A as well as Serie B”.
Buffon是傳聞很多的球員之一，Zanetti對此說：
「每個人都很重要，不過沒有多少人像 Buffon，他是這隻球隊的基石，
就像 Del Piero、Trezeguet、Nedved、Camoranesi、Marchionni…
這些球員能在義甲形成差距，當然在義乙也行。」
The Bianconeri will be looking to avoid any slip ups over the second half
of the season. “Juve's biggest threat is Juve, but there are other sides
who are well-equipped to mount a challenge, like Napoli, Bologna and Genoa.
We have to be very careful”.
JUVE將避免在下半季有滑坡，Zanetti說：「JUVE最大的敵人就是 JUVE，
不過還有其他球隊也夠格進行衝擊，像是 Napoli、Bologna、Genoa，
我們必須非常小心。」
And finally, what kind of game awaits Juventus on Saturday?
“Spezia are physically very strong and very competitive.
It's going to be a tough game but we'll be more than prepared”.
週六等著 JUVE的將是場什麼樣的比賽？「Spezia在體能上很強大也很有競爭力，
這將會是一場難纏的比賽，不過我們會準備得更充份。」
