Not only did these journalists round on the team's performance at the Stadio Menti on Saturday, but there were also intimations of a dressing room split, antipathy towards Didier Deschamps and a lack of effort on the field. Here's what he had to say to Juventus Channel on behalf of the dressing room.“None of us were happy about what appeared in certain newspapers this morning and that's why I'm here to clear things up. I was drained both physically and mentally when I got back on Friday, seeing as I'd just played Argentina, the team closest to my heart. Claims on Saturday that Del Piero is soon to be a father were followed up today by reports on the alleged playboy lifestyles of some of the other players. David hit back. “The media can criticise us for our performances on the pitch but no one has the right to bring up our private lives. Everyone of us has a family, many have children and no one should be criticising us for our behaviour off the field.
