de Ligt是一名典型的出自于Ajax的青訓球員。de Ligt9歲時就加盟了Ajax青訓營。在
Ajax青訓營度過了8個賽季後，de Ligt得到了第一份職業合同。
17歲時，de Ligt代表Ajax二隊完成了自己的第一場職業比賽，對手是荷乙球隊埃門足球
俱樂部（FC Emmen）。在這場比賽中，de Ligt打滿全場。
一個月後，由於在二隊發揮出色，de Ligt得到了為Ajax一線隊出場的機會。他在荷蘭杯
對陣威廉二世(Willem II)的比賽中完成一線隊處子秀，幫助球隊5-0大勝對手。同時，他
個人也在那場比賽中破門，成為隊史上繼Clarence Seedorf之後第二年輕的進球球員。
2016年10月24日，Ajax宣佈將17歲的de Ligt提拔至一線隊。他在處子賽季中出場11次，
同時還以17歲285天的年紀成為了史上最年輕的踢歐戰決賽的球員，不過Ajax在歐聯決賽
中不敵曼聯。
2018年3月，由於主力中衛Joel Veltman受傷，de Ligt被授予隊長袖標，成為了Ajax隊史
最年輕的隊長。那個賽季，他首發了全部31場聯賽，各項賽事出場37次，打進3球。
上個賽季，可謂是Ajax近年來最成功的一個賽季，同時也是de Ligt開始走進人們視野，
嶄露頭角的一個賽季。上賽季，de Ligt代表Ajax出戰55場，貢獻7球1助攻，幫助球隊奪
得荷甲聯賽冠軍以及荷蘭杯冠軍。
在歐冠1/4決賽第二回合對陣尤文的比賽中，de Ligt攻入制勝球，幫助球隊在客場晉級，
de Ligt也以19歲零261天的年紀成為了歐冠半決賽歷史上最年輕隊長。
上賽季歐冠中，de Ligt是搶回球權第三多的球員，達73次。他還具備出色的頭球爭頂能
力，上賽季歐冠只有C羅的頭球破門數比他多。此外，de Ligt還是在歐冠中進球的最年輕
的後衛球員。他的速度、力量、準確性和領導力令他當選2018年金童獎，也受到了隊友和
對手的認可。
19歲的de Ligt已經為荷蘭隊出場17次，打進兩球。今年夏天，de Ligt幫助荷蘭隊和C羅
領銜的葡萄牙打進歐國聯決賽，雖然荷蘭0-1失利，但在比賽後de Ligt稱C羅邀請他加盟
尤文。
de Ligt也成為了尤文隊史第5位荷蘭球員，在他之前有Ouasim Bouy（後入選摩洛哥國家

: strength is not only useful when it comes to clearing chances away in the
: box, but one that makes him a threat to the opposition. In fact, only
: Cristiano Ronaldo (four) scored more headed goals than the 29-year-old in the
: 2018/19 Champions League campaign, while he is also the youngest defender to
: have ever scored in the competition.
: On the international stage, de Ligt made his debut for the Dutch national
: team against Bulgaria (2-0 away defeat) in the 2018 FIFA World Cup
: qualification match, despite only having made two starts for Ajax at the
