Foxborough, Massachusetts - this is the next destination for Giacomo
Vrioni, who will play in MLS this upcoming season now that his permanent
move to the New England Revolution is official, in what is the first
transfer to the US top flight of a player that has come through the
Under 23 ranks.
This is an important milestone for the 23-year-old striker who comes off
an extremely positive season on loan at WSG Swarovski Tirol in the
Austrian Bundesliga. His season in Austria saw him rise to become an
undisputed protagonist with 19 goals in 28 games, or 21 in 30 in all
competitions, enough to earn the title of top scorer, shared with
Adeyemi.
Since he joined Juventus in January 2020, Giacomo worked relentlessly,
even in the darkest moment when on 26 November 2020 he fractured his
fibula, ending his season prematurely. But, he had the strength to get
back on the pitch, with more courage, determination and strength than
before.
Giacomo wore the shirt of Juventus Under 23, and the height of his
success was victory in the Serie C Italian Cup in season 2019/20.
Unfortunately, his second year in Turin did not go to plan due to the
shin fracture at the end of November that kept him out of action until
the tail end of the 2020/21 season, when he scored the penalty that
allowed the team to qualify for the play-offs with one match to spare.
Vrioni is a prime example of how Juventus enhance young talent through
their participation in the Under 23 set-up in Serie C, a highly
competitive league, and by also giving them the opportunity to mature
outside of Italy.
Develop, enhance and maintain relationships with foreign clubs so as to
shape raw talent and create positive feedback between the parties, and so
allow young players to grow up through the Juventus youth teams and gain
quality experience abroad. This, in a nutshell, is the philosophy of the
“Club 15”, a project that sees Juventus lead the way together with
clubs from all over the world, collaborating on loan deals. And Vrioni is
one of the most successful examples of this project.
Now, for him, the chance to launch his career has come from overseas and
we wish him all the best for his future.

Under 23 | Franco Israel joins Sporting CP

In the 2022/2023 season Franco Israel will set off on a new journey in
his career. After four years in Juventus, the Uruguayan goalkeeper will
change the black and white stripes for the green and white hoops of
Sporting CP shirt to play in the Portuguese top flight.
The 22-year-old has been bought outright by the Lisbon-based club. (tbc)
Israel leaves Juventus after a journey that saw him display all his
talent, stepping up from Under-19 to Under-23. Last season was
emblematic, when Franco defended the Bianconeri goal in 39 games, keeping
12 clean sheets, four of which in the extraordinary run in the playoffs.
The growth of the keeper was one element of the positive season for the
whole group coached by Lamberto Zauli.
Israel departs with the awareness of having matured as a player but also
as a person, and is now ready to dive into this new and stimulating
adventure.

Koni De Winter is set for a new adventure. The Belgian defender will play
in Serie A next season, at Empoli now that his loan to the Tuscan club is
official.
The 20-year-old continues his career in Italy after joining Juventus in
the summer of 2018.
From July of that year to today, the growth of the Antwerp-born player
has been exponential. Demonstrating great physical, technical and
leadership skills, De Winter has impressed at every level, starting off
from his first season, when at Under 17 level he totaled 23 appearances.
The following year, in season 2019/20, Koni progressed to the Primavera.
His two seasons with the Under 19 saw him make 39 appearances, and in the
second year he more than once wore the captain’s armband.
The Belgian footballer continued to make progress, making the next step
to the Under 23 squad and the world of professional football. De Winter
met the challenge head on, and displaying determination and personality,
he clocked up 31 appearances in all competitions, not to mention his
first two goals as a pro.
Last year he climbed the final rung when he made his debut for the First
Team. On 23 November 2021 the young defender, then still a teenager, was
brought on at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on the penultimate day of
the Champions League group stage. His second and last appearance came at
the beginning of December, as a starter in the final group stage
encounter against Malmö.
In the season just concluded, Koni had the chance to learn from the best
as he often trained with Coach Allegri's First Team. All of which
provided an important opportunity to grow and further enrich his
technical ability and overall experience, which next season he will put
to use at Empoli.

隊史紀錄的主力球員。其中Koni De Winter尤其值得期待，應該也是這樣所以只是
租借沒有賣出，也沒有因為中後衛邊後衛都能踢而把他留在一軍當出場時間少的備
胎替補，直接租給Empoli也許有機會跳過義乙直接踢義甲了。
