http://fanfare.kingsconnect.com/archives/852 Udrih Improving With Age At 27, Beno Udrih is an elder statesman on this year’s young and enthusiastic Sacramento Kings team. 年近27 BENO 算是這隻年輕國王的領袖人物 “I don’t know if it’s really fun,” Udrih said laughing when asked how much he enjoys being a veteran to so many youthful teammates. “It makes me feel old sometimes.” BENO說 "正經點好嗎!" 他微笑著說著成為隊上老大哥那種愉快的感覺 "有時我覺得我自己老了" Though he is no longer a lock in the starting lineup and plays with the second-youngest starting five in NBA history, the congenial Kings guard really is having the time of his life. 雖然本季他把先發讓出來給一群小毛頭轉任救援王但是他對於新的工作樂在其中 “Coach has really done a great job this year putting every player in a position and every player feels comfortable,” Udrih said before the Kings beat the Nuggets at ARCO Arena on Monday. “They gave us systems but they didn ’t give us systems and tell us that’s how we have to play. They still let us play our game and I think it’s a blast for any player to be in this kind of situation and on this kind of team. As good as his intentions are, it doesn’t keep his teammates from joking with him. BENO除了讓出自己先發的角色給隊友外, 自己還會來個從旁指導和他想的一樣 , 因為BENO的熱心,讓隊友尊敬不會對他開無聊的玩笑 “We kind of tease him a little bit on being successful and winning championships with San Antonio,” second-year power forward Jason Thompson said. “So we call him Young Popovich a little bit, just (because of) how he wants to coach us young guys.” JT說 "我們有時會跟他開玩笑 , X 拿過冠軍了不起喔! 自以為是年輕版的Popovich! The one thing he has going for him now is he’s now 15 pounds lighter than he was last year, so he has become faster. If they’re guarding the wrong players, strength or quickness or size, something can get you.
