G Marcus Thornton continues to be baffled by a deep thigh contusion. He
initially suffered the injury Jan. 8 against Orlando when he absorbed a pick
from Dwight Howard, taking a knee to the thigh.
The Kings' leading scorer at 18 points a game, Thornton missed the next three
games, the injury so painful he could barely walk. He returned to the
starting lineup Friday at San Antonio before aggravating it in the second
quarter.
Thornton scored two points in 13 minutes Saturday at Memphis, then sat out
Monday's game at Portland.
"I've never had an injury like this, and it's hard to deal with. I really
feel bad that I can't help my team. Kills me to just watch."
