As per club policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed. Gallinari was selected by New York with the sixth overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft and is expected to play for the team’s entry in the 2008 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, NV next week. Gallinari, 6-10, 225-pounds, was an early entry candidate for the 2008 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old Italian native averaged a team-high 17.5 points and 5.7 rebounds last season for Armani Jeans Milano of the Italian A-1 League, while tallying 14.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 2008 Euroleague play. The Knicks bought out Gallinari's contract with Milan for $500,000. Second-year man Wilson Chandler, plus 2006 first-rounders Renaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins, also will play, as will Nate Robinson, who will do it for the fourth straight year. The Knicks will hold an adjacent voluntary minicamp in which Marbury and Duhon are expected to participate.
