http://blogs.trb.com/sports/basketball/knicks/blog/ Alan Hahn Mike D'Antoni loves Wilson Chandler, who had 26 points in the win over the Cavs. His line was solid: 26 points (11 of 21 FGs), 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. “His defense is awesome; that’s what impresses me more than anything,” D’ Antoni said. “His shot-blocking, coming from the weak side. He’s got an extra gear. Yeah, I’m really happy with him.” Chandler showed signs of his potential late last season when he started getting extensive minutes as the Knicks played out the schedule. He has fully recovered from a sprained knee in the second-to-last game of the season that admittedly concerned him. “It looked scary on film,” he said. “I thought it was over.” By the looks of it, this may only be the beginning for Isiah Thomas’ final draft pick, who is brimming with confidence. “I don’t wonder if I’m going to play a lot because [D’Antoni] tells me he’s going to let me play and he talks to me a lot about it,” Chandler said. “Just keep doing what I’m doing.” The very athletic and explosive 21-year-old can play anywhere from shooting guard to power forward for D’Antoni, who is planning to make good use of that versatility. * * Gallinari struggled at first, mainly because of the adjustment to the North American game and, more importantly, officiating. He had a good burst in the second half when he hit 5 of 6 and got to the line twice. Nice follow-up dunk. Missed all four from downtown, however. He didn't play much late in the game, he said, because his back was sore. Phil Weber said it was because he banged his knee. Bottom line, the physical play he endured going to the hole and being met a few times by Tractor Traylor (trying to make a comeback with the Cavs) took its toll. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 134.208.2.131
