A big reason was because they defended well and pushed the pace, which Mike Woodson supports. "It comes down to getting stops," he said before the Cavaliers game. "We've been pushing that as we go along. We've got to get stops and everybody's got to help rebound, and if we do that why not push the basketball? Get it up the floor and we can explore early in the shot clock to see what we can come up with. It just happened to work in our favor in the first quarter the other night.
