#Knicks say JR Smith had patella tendon surgery & a left knee scope. Chronic injs. Recovery 12-16 weeks. That's JUST before regular season. #Knicks were well aware of the knee issue with Smith. During March it started to flare up but he played through it. Hurting again vs Pacers. The 12-16 week timetable means Smith could return anytime between the mid/end of camp and the first two weeks of the season. #Knicks have announced that J.R.
