As for Lee, he enters the offseason optimistic about New York's future
despite the team’s issues in 2016-17.
"I believe in the guys that we have and that we can be better next year," he
said in a phone interview after the season.
"If you look at some of the things that we did -- especially late in the
season -- we think we can carry some of that over into next season," he said.

the season. I know how tough he is and how prideful he is, and I’m looking
