[2010] Iniesta In Contention For Chile Tie

Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta is expected to return to the fold against
Chile in the European champions final Group H tie in Pretoria on Friday.
Iniesta has been struggling with a hamstring injury in recent weeks and
although he did feature for la Furia Roja in their 1-0 defeat to
Switzerland, he was replaced with 15 minutes to go as a precautionary
measure and was ruled out of the subsequent victory over Honduras in order
to give him the best possible chance of recovering.
However the dynamic Barcelona midfielder took a full part in Spain's
training session in Potchefstroom and appeared to show no signs of
discomfort which according to AS, means he will be available for selection
against group leaders Chile on Friday.
Players who featured in the win over Honduras did not train with the group,
with the exception of Iker Casillas while Sergio Ramos received
physiotherapy treatment for his niggling rib injury.
