One of two football "weddings of the year" in north Wales has taken place on one of the hottest days of the year. Hairdressing consultant Jude Littler, 30, originally from Anglesey, has married Liverpool's SP14m French striker Djibril Cisse at Bodelwyddan Castle. Within days, Real Madrid and England footballer Michael Owen and fiance Louise Bonsall are set to follow suit. A host of Premiership and international football stars attended Cisse's wedding on Saturday. Ms Littler, a mother-of-one, and Cisse, 23, married in a ceremony in front of 200 friends and family while temperatures hit 26C outside. Guests included French team-mates Louis Saha, the Manchester United striker, and ex-Arsenal player Sylvan Wiltord, who now plays at Lyon. Manchester City and England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips was also at the celebration. Staff at Bodelwyddan Castle and Hotel refused to talk to BBC Wales about the wedding. But Cisse's guest list is also thought to have included his Liverpool team-mate and captain Steve Gerrard, as well as fellow French internationals Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane. However, around a hundred Liverpool fans who gathered to see their heroes were disappointed as tight security meant that few guests were seen arriving or leaving the celebration. Before she moved to Cheshire and met her future husband, Ms Littler went to school and college in Anglesey, lived on the Maesgeirchen estate in Bangor and worked as a hairdresser. But now she will become the Lady of the Manor of Frodsham. when she moves with her new husband into his Cheshire mansion. Cisse's title of Lord of the Manor of Frodsham comes with the SP2m Manor Ridge House which Cisse, who transferred from French club Auxerre to Merseyside last summer, bought earlier this year. Hairdresser Natalie Saunders from Bangor has known the bride for 14 years and was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding. "I'm really excited," Ms Saunders told BBC Radio Wales before the ceremony. "They're really in love - head over heels, it's fantastic." Ms Saunders said she thought her friend would cope well with being a footballer's wife. "She's always worked dead hard in everything she's done - she's her own boss. "By the sounds of it she'll still be working for a while, she's very level-headed". And the bride's grandmother, Lillian Littler, 72, who lives in Anglesey, said she was delighted to welcome the footballer into the family. She told the Daily Post newspaper: "He does not act like a superstar at all. "I have met him a few times, and he is a lovely, lovely man. "He is a perfect gentleman. I found him to be very nice. I should imagine she fell for his charm," she added. ============================================================================ Meanwhile, preparations are continuing for the wedding of England's Michael Owen and his childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall which is expected within the next week or so. The couple, who have a toddler daughter Gemma Rose, had intended to marry at their luxury home near Northop in Flintshire. But on learning that this could have led to other couples being allowed to marry there they opted for a ceremony at a country hotel and a reception at home. A marquee has already been erected in the grounds of their Grade-Two listed mansion.
