Blackburn have signed Robbie Fowler on a three-month pay-as-you-play deal, with
the striker in line to face Arsenal at Ewood Park this weekend.
The former Liverpool frontman, 33, has been training with Rovers since Paul
Ince took over as manager in June.
"The fact is, I turned down a contract [at Cardiff] and wanted to play back in
the Premier League I think that speaks volumes," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"My appetite's still big and I want to be involved in the big league."
