BID FOR PENNANT ACCEPTED
Pompey have had a bid for Jermaine Pennant accepted by Liverpool.
The Blues plan to discuss personal terms with the player over the next few
days.
The 26-year-old has made 81 appearances for Liverpool since signing from
Birmingham for a reported ￡6.7m in July 2006.
Pennant began his career with hometown club Notts County before joining
Arsenal for ￡2m while still a 15-year-old.
The right winger spent time on loan at Watford and Leeds before signing for
Birmingham in 2005.
