The Italian midfielder appears set to return to his native country and join
the Serie A champions after failing to feature in Kenny Dalglish's plans
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani will complete his move to AC Milan this
week, the player's agent has revealed.
The Italy international has been linked with a return to his homeland after
failing to justify the €20 million [￡17.4m] spent by Liverpool in 2009.
Juventus, where he spent last season on loan, and AC Milan have both been
credited with an interest in Aquilani, who is reportedly valued at €10
million [￡8.7m]. Although, the Serie A title holders are believed to be
reluctant to offer anything more than €6m [￡5.2m] for the 27-year-old.
Aquilani revealed on Sunday that he is 'close to joining AC Milan', and his
representative has now said that a deal will be finalised in the next few
days.
"The involved parties are working on this case, and between Wednesday and
Thursday, everything will be decided," Franco Zavaglia told ilsussidiario.net.
