José Reina Paez Largely unthreatened but was beaten by an excellent strike from Bobadilla early in the second period. Jamie Carragher Marshalled the back line - and everyone in front of that - excellently. Martin Skrtel Towering at the back for the most part. Emulated his regular striker partner Agger on occasion with his forward runs. Andre Wisdom Subbed with just 32 minutes gone as he succumbed to a small injury and replaced by Gerrard. Had done little wrong. Nuri SahinFlop of the Match Showed some nice touches but still struggling to truly influence the game on a consistent basis. A clearly talented footballer but must do more. Joe Cole One of his brighter performances for the Reds. Provided an assist before netting a goal in front of the Kop but was still incredibly wasteful with the ball. Jordan Henderson Shifted to right-back in an early change and showed understandable positional naivety in an unfamiliar role Stewart Downing Defended solidly as a makeshift left-back but didn't look like providing a threat coming forward. Suso Missed an excellent first-half chance after finding himself free on goal and was often bullied off the ball. Jonjo Shelvey Uncomfortable as a false nine but seemed to know enough about his role to get into the right position to head home in the first half. Steven Gerrard Still looks a yard slower than he once was but boosted the quality of passing in midfield as an early substitute. Created the goal with some incisive passing. Raheem Sterling Gave Lecjaks much more to think about with his pace and trickery.
