Liverpool are very proud to have fans all over the world and we appreciate the support of our millions of Chinese fans. When we last played in China in 2011, the reception we got from fans in Guangzhou was amazing, with some fans even sleeping outside our hotel just so they could be closer to the players. That kind of support is very humbling and we hope to return to play in China again soon. While we can't go to China every year, we are making great efforts to improve our daily engagement with fans all over the world and have recently launched an official presence on the Tencent social media platform to complement the Sina Weibo account we launched back in 2011. On Friday, Lucas Leiva became the first Liverpool player to launch his own personal Weibo in order to interact with Chinese fans. Almost one million fans now follow those accounts - a number that we're delighted to say keeps growing every day.
