[消息] Tolbert out for ALDS with oblique strain
MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins infielder Matt Tolbert was placed on the disabled list
Saturday with a left oblique strain that he suffered in Friday's 4-3 loss to
the Yankees. Minnesota activated infielder Brian Buscher in place of Tolbert,
who will also have to miss the Twins' next series, should they advance after
falling into a 2-0 hole in the American League Division Series.
Tolbert was replaced by utility infielder Brendan Harris, who hit an RBI triple later in the game. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Harris will get the start
at third base Sunday in Game 3.
Since getting called up in early September, Tolbert has hit .333 while making
18 starts at third base. His recent success makes the injury even tougher.
"It's frustrating, my only chance to play in the playoffs," Tolbert said.
