[消息] Twins pick up lefty Bargas for catcher Morales
The Twins acquired some Minor League pitching depth, picking up left-hander
Paul Bargas in exchange for catcher Jose Morales in a trade with the Rockies
on Thursday.
Bargas, 22, was 5-4 with a 3.59 ERA and five saves in 67 2/3 innings for
Class A Asheville last season. He was picked by the Rockies in the 13th round
of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of University of California
Riverside.
Morales, who is out of options, hit .194 in 19 games with the Twins last
season, most of which came after he was called up in September. The
27-year-old saw most of his action in 2010 at Triple-A Rochester, where he
hit .264 with 19 doubles. He has a .297 career batting average in 74 games
with Minnesota.
