He can take a walk (14% BB% in ’17). He’s shown some propensity for steals in the minors (23 SB in ’15, 10 in ’16 and ’17). He doesn’t have any power and posted an OBP (.369) higher than his SLG (.339). Besides a lack of talent, the 23-year-old has no opening for playing time in Boston. It took the perfect storm for him to accumulate 66 PA last season. Owners, or even his mom, shouldn't expect it to happen again.
