Rays baseball operations president Erik Neander and manager Kevin Cash both have
received long-term contract extensions, the Tampa Bay Times has learned.
An announcement is expected later Thursday. Terms of the new deals were not init
ially available, but both will carry into and beyond the team’s planned 2028 mo
ve into a new St. Petersburg stadium.
Cash’s extension was more timely, as he was heading into the final season of hi
s current contract. The team did hold a 2025 option, which was incorporated into
the new deal.
