The Rockies announced today that they have placed left-handed pitcher Kyle Freel
and on the 15-day injured list (left elbow strain), retroactive to April 16, and
have recalled right-handed pitcher Noah Davis from Triple-A Albuquerque .

Kyle Freeland told Rockies reporters that he hurt his left elbow pitching in his
last start in Toronto and that his injury was completely unrelated to the home
plate collision in Philadelphia. Freeland expects to be out awhile, but does not
believe there is UCL damage
