Manchester City have stepped up their summer spending spree by shelling
out ￡24million on Valencia and Spain star David Silva.
The 24-year-old will officially join the Eastlands club after the World
Cup where he has helped the reigning European champions into the last
eight.
Some may see Silva's move to a team not even in the Champions League as
a backwards step but City boss Roberto Mancini is looking to build a
dynasty and looks like having the funds to bring in who he wants.
We will all get to know Silva the footballer in the next few months but
Sportsmail needed to find out a bit more - and here's our list of 10
things you need to know about David Silva...
* David Josua Jimanez Silva was not born on mainland spain – he was
delivered on 8 January 1986 in Arguineguin, Gran Canaria.
