Sport: “Manchester City is an English club with all the traditions and you can see that the squad is not full of English players, but the few ones we have in the team are international players which is really important for the team. “And for foreign players coming to this club it’s a massive challenge. “What I always say is important for foreign players to try to adapt, to try to speak fluent English because for the communication with the people of the club, with the fans and the media, is also really important to know. New signing Bacary Sagna will apply much more pressure for the place, but Zabaleta sees the Frenchman’s arrival as a positive, notwithstanding the stand-off they had three seasons ago which saw both players sent off at the Emirates Stadium. “I think playing in four competitions in one season is too much,” 29-year-old Zabaleta said. “It’s so difficult for somebody to play all the games and that’s why the manager needs a very strong squad and probably two top players in each position to try to rotate the players. When I went to San Lorenzo it was really hard to travel every day for training or games so I did it for one year but then I decided to move to Buenos Aires permanently, so that’s why I left my family and home town. “When you are living alone far away from your family, from your friends as a person you have to show character and personality and determination. “I was 14 I was living in Buenos Aires when that happened (my mother died) and I went to my home town for a week.
