賽前 Manuel Pellegrini to Futbol Tactico: "I think my work during the three years I was at City was more valued after what City did last season." Pellegrini: "Perhaps many thought that with Pep's arrival, City were going to win by 15 points, and in England it doesn't work like that." Pellegrini: "I have no doubt he will do well because Pep is one of the best coaches there is today." 工程師說「我在曼城那三年比曼城上賽季的表現更有價值，也許人們認為瓜的到來能讓曼城領先15分贏得冠軍，這在英超可不管用，但我毫無疑問瓜可以在曼城成功，他可是世上最好教練之一。」 Bernardo Silva on Mendy: "He is a great guy, on and off the pitch, he is a great player and a fantastic person as well." De Bruyne: "It’s nice to score but I don’t get in that type of position too many times, as I did in the first year. But it doesn’t matter." 德布：「比起進球，我更喜歡進攻，當然能進球也很棒，只是我現在沒太多機會可以射門，已經不像第一年那樣了，不過沒關係。」 Pep confirms that Vincent Kompany has returned to training and will be able to play again in the 'next days'. 瓜確認孔隊恢復訓練，幾天後能上場 Pep on Yaya: "I need him. The team need him. He is so important and I admire what he has done in his career. He is an exceptional player." 談YAYA：「我需要他，球隊也需要他。」瓜之前說YAYA有體態上的問題所以不給上 Pep on Watford: "It will be a demanding game especially after just three days and the travelling but we have to handle the situation." Pep: "Last season we had a problem scoring but now we have players that play further in and not wide.
