Wayne Rooney has recovered from a hamstring injury and will return for
Manchester United, along with Javier Hernandez and Jonny Evans.
Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Tom Cleverley are still injured but should
be back after the international break.
Norwich striker James Vaughan has had knee surgery and could be sidelined for
up to four months.
Zak Whitbread, Elliott Ward and Dani Ayala remain out, while Ritchie de Laet

MATCH PREVIEW
- A few weeks ago people would have predicted this match would end in a
handsome victory for Manchester United.
- But after recent results, Norwich go to Old Trafford with significantly more
confidence than they would have done following their back-to-back wins over
Bolton and Sunderland.
- Not only that, but Manchester United are suddenly no longer looking
invincible, having drawn with Stoke and Basle, and are a bit vulnerable in
defence.
- They are missing Nemanja Vidic badly and a lot of responsibility has been
put on Phil Jones - who probably didn't expect to play such a crucial role
so early in his Old Trafford career.
- This match will tell Norwich a lot about what the top of the Premier League
is like. Early evidence suggests that Paul Lambert has moulded his side into
a team capable of coping with the top flight, and he has done it with players
plucked from the lower leagues such as Anthony Pilkington from Huddersfield,
Elliott Bennett from Brighton, and Marc Tierney from Colchester.
- The Canaries won't be overawed by a trip to Old Trafford, even though
Manchester United haven't lost a match at home since against Chelsea in April
2010, a run of 36 matches. While I still expect Sir Alex Ferguson's men to
win, I don't think it will be quite as straightforward as it might have been
a few weeks ago.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
This is the 61st meeting between the sides. Manchester United have won 30
matches, Norwich 15 and there have been 15 draws.
The last time Norwich were in the Premier League in the 2004-05 season they
lost 2-1 at Old Trafford and won 2-0 at Carrow Road.
Norwich won at Old Trafford in two successive seasons in 1988-89 and 1989-90.
Their only other league victory at Manchester United's ground came in
December 1986.
In eight previous encounters in the Premier League, Manchester United have
won six, and Norwich once.
Manchester United
United have scored 22 goals in their opening six league matches - the
equal-most of any club at this stage of a Premier League season, matching
Newcastle in 1994-95.
The Red Devils have only failed to score twice in their last 23 league games
(v Arsenal and Newcastle).
Nani scored three goals and contributed three assists in his last four league
matches.
Nani (17) and Ashley Young (14) have provided more assists in the division
than any other players since the start of last season.
Ryan Giggs has played only 83 minutes of top-flight football this season. At
the same stage last year, he had managed 350 minutes.
Norwich
Norwich have won back-to-back Premier League matches for the first time since
April 2005, when they beat Newcastle United and Charlton Athletic at Carrow
Road.
The Canaries have now scored seven league goals this season, all by different
players. Only Chelsea (10) and Manchester United (8) have had more different
goalscorers this season than Norwich (excluding own goals).
If games ended at half-time, they would currently lie in third place.
M.E.N Prediction: United 2-0 Norwich
- Expect a tighter performance from United and with Rooney back it should
be three points
Key opponent:
John Ruddy - goalkeeper is likely to be in for a busy afternoon
Lawro's predictions United 3-0 Norwich
Norwich have had a couple of good wins of late, which is great for them and
will ensure they are starting to feel right at home in the Premier League.
But this is the ultimate acid test - a trip to Old Trafford when Manchester
United are smarting from a strange game and disappointing result in midweek
in their Champions League draw with Basel.
The Swiss side created chances throughout the game and deserved to come away
with a point, but United will worry about how easily they were carved open.
Sir Alex Ferguson's team have looked vulnerable defensively quite often this
season and that will be an interesting one to keep an eye on with them.
Not that I expect them to have a problem on Saturday against the Canaries,
where I anticipate a comfortable home win.
In fairness to Norwich, they'll go into this game not expecting a victory and
aware that it is the games against the teams towards the bottom that will be
more important to them this season.
