有著三發全壘打的加持,威利斯以8.2局的好投,讓金鶯在自己家以2-6落敗 D-Train的第四勝也是他生涯的第50勝超過了前輩A.J. Burnett,也讓馬林魚拿下追平隊史兩次紀錄的9連勝,上一次是2004的8/27-9/9,發燙的馬林魚贏得最近25場中的19場.. In the fourth inning, with no outs, Melvin Mora tried going from first to third on Miguel Tejada's single to center. But he was thrown out by Amezaga. And in the fifth inning, Corey Patterson was trying to leg out a double, but Hermida in right threw a perfect strike to second, nabbing the Orioles' center fielder. In his next at-bat, Patterson left no doubt about an extra-base hit, crushing a two-run homer. A scary moment occurred with two outs in the sixth inning when a Willis fastball struck Mora on the left knee. After remaining still on the ground for several minutes, the third baseman was assisted off the field.
