Uggla's home run gives Marlins Game 1 win over Giants

MIAMI GARDENS — Dan Uggla bounced up the dugout steps, turned to the
cheering crowd and waived.

Uggla's fifth-inning home run not only tied him for the National League lead
with 16 but also put the Marlins ahead for good in an 8-6 victory over the
San Francisco Giants in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.
