Injured Uggla hopes to play this weekend

Although second baseman Dan Uggla remains confident he can return by the
weekend, when the Marlins are in Colorado, he had a magnetic resonance imaging
exam on his sprained left ankle Tuesday.
''It looks like it's going to take two to four more days,'' said Uggla, who was
injured Saturday while running the bases. '' The pain has decreased. The first
couple of days was when it was the most intense.
''With Alfredo Amezaga slowed by a groin injury, the Marlins have started
Robert Andino at second base the past three games.
''I'll start running and hitting in the next couple of days and then go from
there,'' Uggla said.
Dan Uggla有信心在週末歸隊，並表示傷痛已經好很多了，過幾天會開始跑壘及打擊練習。
因為Alfredo Amezaga鼠蹊部受傷，所以最近三場都是Robert Andino守二壘。
TUCKER IN ROTATION . . . FOR NOW
There are no plans to supplant rookie Ryan Tucker in the starting rotation,
even though he has been struggling. Tucker gave up five runs in five innings
Monday against the Nationals and has a 6.84 ERA.
He is scheduled to start Saturday in Colorado.
In all likelihood, Tucker will be replaced in the rotation when Josh Johnson is
activated from the disabled list, perhaps by the middle of next week. Johnson
is expected to make at least one more rehabilitation start in the minors.
Long reliever Doug Waechter is a candidate the Marlins could turn to if they
want to make an immediate change. Waechter made 54 starts when he was with
Tampa Bay from 2003-06. But the Marlins are pleased with the job Waechter has
done in his role out of the bullpen.

Florida has eight walk-off victories this season, tied with Washington and
Cincinnati for the most in the majors. The game-ending hits have come from
seven players: Uggla, Andino, Wes Helms, Mike Jacobs, Jorge Cantu, Cody Ross
and Josh Willingham (twice).
Of the Marlins' position players, Amezaga, Hanley Ramirez and Jeremy Hermida
have not had
a game-ending hit in their major-league careers. Luis Gonzalez won Game 7 of
the 2001 World Series with a game-ending hit for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
