MIAMI -- Inactivity and overanxiousness caught up to Matt Lindstrom on Friday
night, and the end result was the most frustrating loss of the young season
for the Marlins.

Pitching for the first time in five days, Lindstrom endured the worst outing
of his career, surrendering a grand slam to Shane Victorino and a solo shot
to Chase Utley in the Phillies' 7-3 comeback win at Dolphin Stadium.

In line to record his fourth save, Lindstrom instead allowed seven runs in
two-thirds of an inning. Florida's losing streak has now reached four games.

Opening their three-game homestand with the Phillies, the Marlins had a "Bark
at the Park Night" promotion at Dolphin Stadium. An enthusiastic crowd of
29,032 -- including 1,540 dogs, a franchise record for the event -- watched
what was shaping up as an impressive pitching performance for Florida. But
there was plenty of howling as the Phillies sent 12 to the plate in the
ninth.

Because the Marlins were swept at Pittsburgh, Lindstrom last pitched Sunday
at Washington. Due to the layoff, manager Fredi Gonzalez was planning on
pitching Lindstrom on Friday.

Afterwards, Gonzalez gave his support for Lindstrom, who was stand-up about

you're all amped up," Lindstrom said of not pitching in several days.

matter of what happened tonight. I'm going to try to forget about this.

Commanding his fastball, which was clocked at 98 mph on several occasions,
was Lindstrom's biggest problem. His pitches were running in on
left-handers, and of his 38 pitches, just 18 were strikes.

"I've never had to experience a seven-spot in my career -- that's

Until Friday, Lindstrom had enjoyed good success against the Phillies. A
year ago, he appeared in eight games in the season series and he didn't

Now in the closer role, the Marlins are ready to be patient with the

As disappointing as the ninth was, the Marlins had numerous chances

In the fifth, especially, they had a double, single and two walks, but were
held scoreless by Phillies starter Brett Myers.

Hanley Ramirez doubled to lead off the inning, but he was caught trying to

All the Marlins' runs came in the first, courtesy of Dan Uggla's three-run

The Phillies did their damage in the ninth after Lindstrom retired Ryan
Howard to open the inning. From there, the Florida closer labored. Jayson

his first regular-season grand slam. In the 2008 playoffs, Victorino belted
a grand slam off CC Sabathia, then with the Brewers.

threw seven shutout innings and matched his season high with eight

板的血漿注射到位於右胸腔下邊的腹斜肌. 07年Cody Ross也接受過類似的治療, 他那時
患部是左大腿.
3. 小亨利今晚2隻五把連續安打場數延續至六場, 不過客場時到DC作客時他就開始冰敷
下背部.
4. 明天是伏爾泰對卜贊浩. 去年才被叫上大聯盟的他, 三次先發對費城人14局只被打3
安. 不過他本人很清楚對方已經觀察他一陣子, 情況也許會有所不同.
