Rodriguez July 19th, 2010 | 7:47 PM According to a report on Fanhouse, the Marlins will consider Padres bench coach Ted Simmons for the manager’s job. While the Marlins were in San Juan last month, owner Jeffrey Loria announced Edwin Rodriguez would remain in the position through season’s end. After the season, the Marlins will conduct a thorough search. In addition to Rodriguez, the Marlins also are expected to consider Arizona Diamondbacks bench coach Bo Porter. Another name the Marlins may choose to revist is Bryan Price, the Reds’ pitching coach.
