Logan Morrison will undergo season-ending surgery on his right knee on
September 5.
Morrison was transferred to the 60-day disabled list last week, so his
return this season was all but ruled out anyway, but news of the surgery
makes it official. The 25-year-old will need about six months of recovery
time, but expects to be ready for spring training. The Marlins will likely
use him at first base moving forward. Aug 28 - 4:45 PM
