Hughes said he was unable to spot his fastball to set up secondary pitches, and needless to say, if he struggles again in Boston, the potent Red Sox lineup can punish him. Hughes has never faced Boston. Ramirez has 53 career homers against the Yankees, passing Carl Yastrzemski and moving into a third-place tie with Hank Greenberg on the all-time list of Yankees opponents.
