Mauresmo pulls out of Porsche GP with shoulder injury

STUTTGART, Germany (AP) -- Top-ranked Amelie Mauresmo withdrew from the
Porsche Grand Prix on Thursday because of a right shoulder injury.
The Frenchwoman pulled out shortly before she was to play her first match of
the tournament against Michaella Krajicek in the second round.
Lisa Raymond has taken Mauresmo's place in the draw as the highest-ranked
loser in qualifying.
Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Maria Sharapova, Lindsay Davenport,
Serena and Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic also pulled out of the tournament
with injuries.
Mauresmo is seeking to finish the year as No. 1 in the world for the first
time in her nine-year career.
