Ex-Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson has been hired by ESPN as a studio
analyst, the network announced Thursday.
Johnson, who was fired by the Mavs in April after 3 1/2 seasons as their
coach, will work with Stuart Scott and Bill Walton on the ESPN set.
Is Johnson looking forward to his first opportunity to critique the Mavs on
the air?
"I have a job to do, and I will do it," he said. "It will give me great joy
to have insights because I worked so closely with some of them for a lot of
years."
